At present, the importance of English has been realised broadly by teachers. This is not only because of the fast growth of Internet technlogy but also as a result of the Indonesian Goverment policy, pushing teachers to be able to communicate English in their teaching. For example, in the National Education Department Strategic Plan 2005-2009 , the goverment has targeted to have one International based-school in every district in Indonesia. One characteristic of this school is bilingual, requiring the teaching in Indonesia (about 25%) and in English (about 75 %) in the first year of this project; 50% in each language in the second year; and 75% in English and 25% in Indonesia in the third year [ref]. The mathematics is one of the subject matter that have to be taught in this bilingual system. This regulation has created a new demand for many mathematics teacher, not only to improve the quality of the mathematics teaching but also to have enough proficiency in teaching mathematics using English.
