Topic 1: Implication of this study on Indonesian teacher PD using the Internet

What ideas I already wrote?

1. What is my major findings in this regard? The case of Ann suggests the power of the Internet as her tool for her ongoing PD. Attending PD about how the Internet works, how to integrate them into teaching, and this process were enhanced by the availability of the Internet, that enabling her to explore further and to communicate with others. However, with the zone theory analysis, we dicovered that Ann's beliefs really influence they way she operated the Internet. she already had the beliefs A then helped her to select the ICT PD programs. And she found that was productive when she also coach other teachers in her classroom about how to use ICT for learning.
2. In contrast with Jack, knowing the Internet first time at quite the same time, but not using yet. Internet PD model that I used in working with Jack (analysed) shown many positive signs in term of attracting him to get to know the potential of the Internet and to challenge his existing beliefs, but inhibitors are there. The zone theory analysis shows that Jack's existing knowledge and beliefs really influence the way the research was operated
3. In the context of Indonesia, to the fact that the goverment run massive ICT PD, this should not be enough if they did not pais attention to all the influential factors. Teaching them basic skills, is not enough in to turn the classromm into rich class, as Jack indicated that he knew the technology very well.
4. To what the Indonesian goverment, it needs further research. This does not enough to test teachers on how good they can operate the technology, but more importantly to facilitate them on how to use to integrate them.

Topic 2: Implication in terms of online resources

In the xase of Ann, we can see how she used a lot online references. The richness offred by Internet is evident. However, what was happeing with Jack, problem "time consuming", quality, .... make the Internet is another challenges.

How abaout for Indonesian. So much info in Indonesia now. This might make teachers useless if they cannot find the right one. Or it could happen, because the limited Internet (infrastructure), make them so slow and so not accesible.

I beileve that he infrastructure in becoming better. But does it means will make it better in terme of using it as online resources.

Jack case demonstrates how he used the Internet that not necessary enrich the learning of the Internet, even showing us how he was willing to use the online resources but struggle in facilitating them, then this suggests that not only challenging in termsof too much info, hard to find the appropriate one but also how to use them.

there should be another advantages of having online PD in English particularly for thm that need to teach maths in English. Since they need facilitate students learning maths in English, many websites offered in English. While for teachers or students who do not know English, online resources in Indonesia is needed.

Although the Goverment have concern about the content, funding them, and this was done by many other coulntry, but the questions should be, why they found that the online did not have a significant impacts. Zone theory suggest that the key is still on the teachers. For Indonesian context, in some areas, using the online as just resources might be possible, but using them as interactive might neo possible. Doing the research might helpful since the printed resources might be limited. So the key is, not only thinking how to provide the online resources but how actually to us the online resources for learning and here the teacher is still the key.
