PD should be collborative
First:
- PD should be collaborative
- I wrote in Chapter 2: "it is collaborative and aims to promote and connect participants in learning communities."
- Also I wrote: "it ensures collaboration to produce shared understanding, shared investement, thoughtful development, and a fair, rigorous test of selected ideas" (Little 1988)
- So the PD program should facilitate or enhance collaboration.
- Collaboration is .... [definition]
- The Internet is opening opportunities to collaborate between teachers, educators, not only in the physical site, but also in virtual world.
Second:
- Online PD has emerged to implement the idea of the potential of the Internet for collaboration
- Some example: ....[ref]
- The question: how this research address the issue: the uses of the Internet for PD, which is collaborative
Third: The case of Ann
- Just give several examples
Fourth: The case of Jack
- The first meaning: the uses of the Internet by Jack to collaborate with others (through online)
- The second meaning: Jack and I should be collaborative. There are lots of collaboration happened [give an example], some plans did not work?
- Explain the issue, why we could not achieve an effective collaboration? Even though some evidence indicated that we were actually a collaborative person. (zones theory will explain this better) as well as the theory of collaboration
Five:
