Effective professional development should be on-going. The Internet can assist in this regard because its potential as a source of information and as a medium of communication enables teachers to find information anywhere, at any time. The Internet also enables teachers to communicate with other teachers, even allowing teachers to ask experts about teaching problems. Teachers do not have to wait for a workshop to get information and to share ideas with other teachers/educators (Hsu, 2004; Newell, Wilsman, Langenfeld, & McIntosh, 2002; Stephen & Hartmann, 2004; Wiske, Sick & Wirsig, 2001)
